Tadoussac is a small touristic village located on the Northern shore of Saint Lawrence River about 200km North-East from Quebec City. The location is best known for being a starting point of whale-watching tours.

What to See Here?

Grayscale thumbnail indicates low probability to see the species around this time of the year.

I list here what I have been able to identify in the field or later at home with the support of photos taken during the visit.

How to Get Here?

I visit Tadoussac every second year and I take either train or bus from Montreal to Quebec City which takes about 4 hours. Train and buses terminal in Quebec City are side by side. No need for transfer. From Quebec City to Tadoussac, I take a bus. Another 4.5 hours trip.

We highly advocate using public transportation whenever possible!
