Magnolia Warbler (Setophaga magnolia)

A moderately small warbler with preference for densely packed, coniferous trees. Breeds in summer in East and central Canada and migrates South in autumn. This species mostly eats insects.

How to Identify

A distinguished characteristic of this species is the yellow breast with black stripes. Females look similar than males but the colors are duller.

Where and When to Spot

I observed this species in Spring in Tadoussac.
