American Toad (Anaxyrus americanus)

This species lives in forests and flat grasslands and breeds in shallow pool or ponds . It eats insects and worms. Returns for breeding to the same pool but thanks to kin recognition is able to prevent incest.

I saw this species only once in a forest close to Mont Rigaud.
