Yellow Trout Lily

A yellow, colony forming plant flowering in spring, native to Quebec and dwelling in woodland habitats.

How to Identify?

Seasonality and the yellow flower with 6 curved, thin petals.

We combine physical characterics and behavior patterns with location and seasonal aspects to identify species.

Where & When to Spot?

I spot this flower in spring in the forest area of Park Angrignon. It flowers on the forest ground before the trees develop their leaves.

With each photo, we store date and geo-location providing us data about location and season of observation. We also use a tracking utility to save observations in the field when there was no opportunity to take a good shot.
