Large White Trillium

A three-petaled white flower native to Quebec and one of the first flowering plants in spring.

How to Identify?

Large white flower with three white petals alternated by 3 green leaves (bracts). Seasonality together with the position of the three white petals and alternating leaves. Note that there are pink variants or with 6 white petals.

We combine physical characterics and behavior patterns with location and seasonal aspects to identify species.

Where & When to Spot?

I usually spot this flower in the forest section of Park Angrignon late April early May.

With each photo, we store date and geo-location providing us data about location and season of observation. We also use a tracking utility to save observations in the field when there was no opportunity to take a good shot.
