Philadelphia Vireo Vireo philadelphicus

Aves > Passeriformes > Vireonidae

A small, migratory bird mostly feeding insects. Difficult to spot and photograph as this species prefers to stay between the leaves of trees and due to its color perfectly blends into its surroundings.

There are other, similar species. This species is identified by its yellow belly, brown-olive back and white stripe above the eye and dark band through its eye.

During late spring, summer and early autumn in almost every park with larger forest area of high leave trees.
